Laka

Goddess of the Day

Themes: Tradition; Heritage; Weather; Arts
Symbols: Lei Flowers; Dance; Yellow

Laka Speaks:

Daughter, come sit with me, hear the ancient stories within us both,

Do you remember being a little girl? Do you remember wanting to hear the stories held tight within your mother and grandmothers breast? Do you know that these stories are written in your bones? It's true! Beautiful daughter, it's time to gather the stories of your youth. It's time to remember the myths and legends of your family, of your people, your culture, your tribe. It is you, to whom the children will come. It is you, who will be the story teller. It is you who will reawaken the memories within the generations to follow. It is your sacred duty to write these stories down. Do not allow this task to be a chore, but rather, begin small... Remember your own youth and begin fleshing it out on paper, one memory at a time. Go back further.. Remember the stories your mother shared. Remember the stories your grandmother told you of her life. Write these down for your children, for your future grandchildren, for your community...

Honor the traditions of your ancestors... Bring them back alive with your personal experiences woven between the words. These will be come sacred documents passed down from generation to generation.

In loving memory,
Laka

Oba

Symbols: Water

Oba Speaks:

Daughter of water, daughter of the salty sea, daughter of my womb,

Have you been on dry land, too long? Have you have you forgotten you are made of water? Have you forgotten you are wild? Have you forgotten how to flow?

If you feel stagnant or too shallow.... if you feel damned up or restrained... if you feel you've lost your shimmer and shine, place your hands in water and call upon me with this chant:

Oba, flow - blessings bestow.
Pour, pour, pour ... restore, restore, restore.

Allow my fluidity to flow through you, today.
Remember, water is more powerful than stone. Use yours to cut through anything that hinders your sacred path.Become one with me and let's flow where you truly desire to go...
She of the Waters
Oba

Asherah Speaks:

Daughter,

Stand strong. Stand tall. Be of good courage. I am here, always, offering to you, my insight and support in your time of need. You are never alone. I acknowledge your good intentions. I see your efforts and willingness to try, again and again and again, despite all obstacles. I see YOU and the future that spreads out before you.

Whenever you are in doubt, fearful or struggling, speak this prayer and I will hear you:

Lady, make me an instrument of kindness and mercy;
Let my words be gentle and true, my actions motivated by insight and fairness.
Where there is prejudice, let me be the bearer of tolerance.
Where there is uncertainty, let me share your vision.
Where there is disharmony, let me sow love.
Amen

You are love, itself, beloved daughter. I desire to shower you with the love you give.

Kali

Goddess of the Day

Themes: Rebirth; Cycles; Joy; Courage; Hope; Cleansing; Change
Symbols: Flowers; Dance; Iron; Sword; Peacock Feathers; Honey

Kali Speaks:

It is TIME, daughter. Time to pay attention. Time to awaken. Time to release. Time to flow with the change at hand. Time for hope. Time for courage. Time for joy.

No matter what the circumstances of your life, they will change. Nothing ever remains the same. Be open to these sacred cycles of life. Celebrate the blessings of each and every season. Allow them to cleanse you: mind, body and spirit. Allow them to take what no longer serves you and to give birth to what awaits you. Dance! Dance to usher in the needful changes in your life. Dance to move the energy. Dance to stir up something new. Dance to honor life. Dance your self through the challenging situations. Dance to celebrate!

On this day, daughter of time, receive the blessings I wish to impart to you. Run a warm bath, toss in a handful of flower petals and bathe. Cleanse your body. Purify your thoughts. Wash away all that clouds your spirit. Offer to me all unfinished projects, stagnant energy and dying relationships, and I will transform them (and you!).

The Goddess of Change,
Kali

Minerva

Goddess of the Day

Themes: Earth; Home
Symbols: Owl; Geranium

Minerva Speaks:

Dearest woman,

How are you allocating your time? Have you devoted sufficient attention to your household tasks? There is no need to be a daily domestic goddess, yet, caring for and keeping clean and tidy the rooms in your home transforms it into sacred space! Sacred space allows you to be more creative, playful, sensual, magickal, powerful, calm and expansive. Consider yourself a warrioress, protecting the energy of your home and gardens. Consider yourself a wise woman, capable of managing what is in your care so that you have a strong foundation upon which to live your life fully, purposefully and joyfully.

For additional blessings, plant pots of geraniums by your front door. Remember: If you see or hear an owl today, rejoice, I am watching over you and your home.

Infinite blessings,
Minerva.

Binah

Goddess of the Day

Themes: Peace; Cooperation; Communication; Unity; Spirituality
Symbols: Bees; Lilies; Lead

Binah Speaks:

Daughter, oh, daughter of mine,

Are you aware of your own divinity? Within your sacred being flows the divine feminine essence and life force! Through you, all things are made manifest; all things are created and born. You are mine, and I am yours.

I come to you, this day, to awaken your awareness. It is time to understand the vast wisdom you hold within. It is time to honor womankind and the Earth. It is time to comprehend the importance of your spiritual path and soul purpose. It is time to discern the truth. It is time to open yourself like a flower to the power of LOVE. It is time to honor your own unique and fragrant gifts. It is time, beloved daughter to celebrate the Goddess within yourself!

Like the lilies of the field, you are a precious flower. Do not fear the bees, as they are my angelic messengers, energetically blessing each bloom. Listen for the wisdom they share. Protect and care for them. Know that if they die, life as you know it, will, too.

Cherish the divine feminine in every beautiful expression.
Lovingly,
the Divine Mother

Libitina

Goddess of the Day

Themes: Death; Freedom
Symbols: Fire

Libitina Speaks:

Daughter,

Do not flee from my embrace. Release your fear. Release all that is ready to die.
Let it go. Surrender the old. When you see me, do not fear. Though I stand guard over funeral pyres, I am not death, but rather a midwife for death. Allow me to assist you in sacrificing bad habits, fear,
outmoded thinking, falsehood, and dis-ease.

Call on me to honor, appease and communicate with those who have crossed through the veil, on your behalf. Call on me when you are facing death and desire to release fear. Call on me to take from you all that no longer serves or benefits you, body, mind and soul. Call on me to assist the transition for those who are ready to leave this earthly realm. Call on me for comfort.

I hear your cries. I hear your silent pleas.
I await to liberate you,
Libitina
