Anaitis Speaks:
oh, priestess daughters, come unto me and remember the ancient ways. Once your mothers and their mothers visited me often, and honored the wisdom I shared. Those days are long gone, but somewhere within you remains the old ways and hidden truths.
My name means: 'humid, immaculate one'.... yet those who know me well, simply call me 'her divine juiciness', or 'sacred wetness'. Like my sister Sheela-na-gig, who spreads wide her vulva as sacred entrance into the divine mysteries and holy temples, I am the flow of love and life. The yoni is sacred to me, as well. In ancient days, I taught my priestesses the power and beauty that their body temples possess. I showed them how to honor the gifts that they've been given. I encouraged them to share their holy blessings with others.
The divine feminine and the divine masculine are represented as earth and heaven. Today, is the anniversary of their sacred union. This is an auspicious time to unite these energies in your own body, mind, and life: a sacred marriage.
If you desire to be close to me, run a warm bath. Sprinkle in cinnamon... add drops of vanilla, and toss in a handful of violets or mint. As you bathe your body in my sweet waters, allow them to wash over you, awakening passion, arousing your sexuality. This holy ritual is my gift to you and by so doing, perhaps, you will hear the songs of your ancient mothers whispering from beyond the veil.
Be blessed, beloved one.
